The logic is reversed setting a fancy goal first and find ways to convince Adcoms will mostly get a ding while being authentic is key
So first, find out why MBA now sometimes it simply because you hate your current job and try to get out of your office If so, then when Adcoms see you write something about an extravaganza way above your current job, then you might get a pretty solid ding since it goes directly against your behavioral evidence
Your goals have to be generated authentically from your interested skills, personal values, and social purposes So look back and see what do you enjoy the most in your job and what industrial/social problems you've experienced that you want to spend the rest of life changing it
Once you find the connection between these problems and your personal values Then you're pretty much on the right track
Here are some suggestions find out what you like in accounting or finance see if you're really good at it, did you get promotion for that? If yes, then a career advancement track sounds like a decent plan If no, then a career switching track should be the story then again, find out what skills do you enjoy then integrate them into a calling, instead of a title in career ladder |
