[作文互改] 有些古怪的一题argument

152. The following appeared in a memo to the board of directors ofBargain Brand Cereals.

"One year agowe introduced our first product, Bargain Brand breakfast cereal. Our very lowprices quickly drew many customers away from the top-selling cereal companies.Although the companies producing the top brands have since tried to competewith us by lowering their prices and although several plan to introduce theirown budget brands, not once have we needed to raise our prices to continuemaking a profit. Given our success in selling cereal, we recommend that BargainBrand now expand its business and begin marketing other low-priced foodproducts as quickly as possible."

Write a response inwhich you discuss what questions would need to be answered in order to decidewhether the recommendation and the argument on which it is based arereasonable. Be sure to explain how the answers to these questions would help toevaluate the recommendation.


1. 不一定是低价吸引的顾客(口味,大量广告)
2.知名厂家介入有可能会影响利润(可能价格更低,或者原来价格太高,现在比较合理,因为其良好的名声吸引顾客
3.推广到其他产品不一定成功(有厂家捷足先登)


不知道这样可不可以?

第二个原因不是很好。另外两个都可以。

低价格 不一定有相同效果,因为过了一年可能人们不在意价格了

不需要涨价维持利润不代表涨价不能提供更多利润

扩大business可能带来成本增加
