写了38分钟，超时啊。。。。而且我觉得考场上可能写不到这么多，是不是应该缩减一下？
而且 imagination 和 knowledge的同义词实在是想不到啊

  提纲如下：
 1开头，表示不同意作者观点
 2让步，承认在一些方面想象力重要，比如绘画和写小说，都必须要有作者的想象
 3转折，在许多方面知识的作用不可忽略，比如数学物理之类的，举例：爱因斯坦的相对论是在对经典物理学的理解基础上提出的
 4更进一步说，其实大多数二者都发挥了同样的重要性，举例：达利，超现实画家，他的抽象画也需要许多方面的知识，牛顿也要想象了苹果落下的原理才得出了经典物理理论。
 5总结，其实二者都很重要

In most professions and academic fields, imagination is more important than knowledge.

Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the claim. In developing and supporting your position, be sure to address the most compelling reasons and/or examples that could be used to challenge your position.

 With the explosive development of technology and science, people now live in a much more convenient and better world than ever before. When it comes to the contribution of imagination and knowledge towards development of our living condition, there is always a public controversy concerning the issue of whether imagination is more profound than knowledge. Although many innovations cannot be created without imagination, as far as I am concerned, the role knowledge has played cannot be overlooked in many professions and fields.

In the first place, no one can deny that some professions such as fiction writing and painting are on a basis of imagination to a great extent. The story told in the fiction is a mixture of real and the illusion form by the writer. Even many scenes depicted by the writer are the image themselves have never seen in real world and such scenes including spaceship, jungles are all created in the writer’s mind. And the imagination is more obvious and ubiquitous in terms of painting. There are some divergences between the painting and the real world because the painter are often inclined to add their own or ideal explanations of the real world to the painting. In light of this, imagination is often considered more important than the knowledge.

 However, in some professions and fields, knowledge plays a crucial role in development of the disciplines like physics as well as mathematics. The knowledge, which is regarded as precious legacies handed down by the precursors, underlies many theories proposed by later scientists. For example, Einstein, who is known as the father of the modern physics and established the theory of relativity, to a great extent, attributed to his understanding and knowledge of classic physics -- He did not have to validate and test the accuracy of such classic theories which his own theory took as cornerstone. Thus in many fields the significance of knowledge cannot be ignored.

 Moreover, in most time imagination and knowledge are depend on each other and cannot be separated. As a matter of fact, it is not accurate to assume that which is more important than which; many theory and creation are relied on both imagination and knowledge. For example,Salvador Dali, a prominent Spanish surrealist painter, is best known for the striking and bizarre images in his surrealist work. Although most of his work including masterpiece The Persistence of Memory, aredominated by imagination, he attributed his success a lot to the expensive artistic repertoire involves knowledge of firm, scripture and photography which underlies imagination. And Newton would not have proposed the classic physic theory without the imaging why an apple will fall down from tree. In a word, imagination and knowledge are both important to the development of human history.

 To sum up, although sometimes people tend to overlook the knowledge which painter and writer they used under the imagination, such knowledge is somehow essential. Actually, there is no accurate answer to the question which is more important, because without which many achievement cannot be done. As a result, imagination and knowledge are equally important to our society and development of human history.
