The most important investment for a company is to spend money to improve the work skills of its employees.

A company needs to invest in a lot of fields. Many people argue that the most significant investment that a company makes is to spend money enhancing the work skills of its employees. It is true that improving workers’ skills is essential because skills help to promote productivity and thus generate more profits. However, the investment in this field is by no means the most crucial investment decision. In fact, investments in research and development and advertising campaigns as well as employees’ salaries can be more important to the success of a company.

First of all, a company needs to invest huge amounts of money in research and development in order to keep its competitive edge in this fast-changing world. This is especially true when it comes to high-tech companies. More investments in research and development usually means more advanced technology and better products, which are more likely to be chosen and loved by consumers. For example, Apple and HTC are two high-tech companies which have been dedicated to research and development for recent years, and as a result of their efforts in this regard, their products outperform those of other companies in many ways. Consequently, they have become two of the top companies in the field of mobile phones. Clearly, research and development can be an area that deserves more investment than employees’ skills.

Another area worth investing in is advertising. This is because even if a company has highly skilled workers who are able to produce high-quality products or provide excellent services, this does not mean that what the company can offer will be known by consumers. In fact, in order to get these products and services better known, companies need to invest a great deal of money in advertising campaigns. Imagine two companies which can make products of similar quality. It would be reasonable to assume that the one that is willing to spend money on advertising has better chances to make their products known by potential customers and therefore have a larger market share. For such reasons, it may be more profitable for a company to spend money on advertising than on upgrading the skills of its employees.

Finally, the the contemporary workers flow frequently. The liquidity of young employees are quite high, and so, improving their technology skills will not necessarily to make sure that skills of the company improve.让步段好短啊

In summary, I reaffirm my view that while spending money improving the skills of employees is essential, it is by no means the most important area to invest in. Research and development as well as advertising campaigns are at least equally, if not more, important than the improvement of workers’ skills.

没有错误 读起来也很流畅 词汇句型变换 结构 思路都蛮好的

Never does the topic referring to education fails to arouse the attention of public, with the increasing awareness of the importance of education as well as the growing amount of educational resources, I maintain that people are now easier to become education than in the past.

First of all, educational level of a country is considered as a vital factor to a country's international competiveness. More and more countries are willing to give money to educational institution. Government issues fund to universities or college to make sure that almost every student are able to afford the tuition and get education. Government also provides teachers with excellent conditions in order to attract more scholars engaging in educational field. Government also equips university or college with high quality facilities to encourage teachers and students to get involved in all kinds of researches. Therefore, with the help with government, education has become easier accessible.

What’s more, various open class and learning material available on the internet that people can learn whenever or wherever they want. They need not to go to school to get education. As a university student, I can benefit a lot from the shared online educational materials. For example, I am able to access to the classes that offer in Harvest University, Stanford University and other famous university all over the world. I am really enjoy in the convenience that internet has brought to us. Therefore, I believe that people have more opportunity to get education with the help of internet.

Finally, the awareness of education has increased dramatically in modern society, and the reasons may that a strong educational background is beneficial to all of us. Under a heavy influence of global unemployment crisis, most people find that it is hard find a job. However, a person with master degree may possess more opportunity to get a ideal job. In a word, the pressure of living in modern society also severe as an important motivation that stimulates people to become educated.

The reading material proposes three reasons related to human development for the future decline in the number of birds in the United States.

First, the passage says that due to the expansion of human settlements, birds’ original habitats are vanishing constantly. The professor didn’t believe this theory as the evidence the passage provided which shows that modern cities in the US have built several habitats for birds, alone the streets or in larger areas, which means human actually increase the birds’ habitats instead of destroying them.

Second, the passage indicates that with the increase of agricultural activities and human population, birds’ habitats are being eradicated because most of them have been converted into agricultural lands; however, the professor went against this idea. She said that in recent years less and less available places are being used for agricultural meaning. Instead, more and more productive crops have been introduced to farmers. As a result, the hypothesis that birds’ habitats won’t decrease under the development of agriculture is to absolute.

Finally, the passage states that owing to iincreases of pesticide usage in angriculture now than that of before, which could ultimately poisons the animal’s food chain and do harm to the birds by damage birds’ reproduction rate. The professor refuted this opinion by stating a fact that nowadays less toxic pesticides have been introduced to the markets and what’s important is that pest-resist crops have been well developed, thus is inappropriate to say human do harm to birds and their habitats.

7.30 独立 又超时了,哎,手什么时候能在快一点

With the development of science and technology, the world has changed so quickly. Some people suggest that people will be happier in such a changing world because they can experience many new inventions .However; I indicate that people are actually less happy and less satisfied than those in the past. I have two reasons as fellow: people cannot adapt themselves to the new way of life and cannot bear the loss of memory of old things and fast-paced life cannot bring people happy and satisfied instead of higher pressure.

To begin with, some people, especially the old, are not able to adjust themselves to such a new world. Not only are they not familiar with the new way of life, but also they are not capable of transforming their old lifestyles into new ones owing to the small amount of knowledge, thus making them stay unhappy all the time. For example, my grandfather does not use digital devices and still insisted to his outmoded lifestyle--such as reading newspaper for the latest news. As a result, when he tells me something interesting from the newspaper, I all felt bored and laughed at him because I had known the 'latest news' several hours, even several days ago. Confronted with our tease, my grandfather once would like to change, but he failed due to his lack of knowledge of computer. In this case, the inability of becoming accustomed to new life style finally leads to an unhappy life.

Moreover, some people who cherish old life may feel unhappy with the change of life. With rapid development of economy, many things full of people memory have undergone a lot of transformations. And those who favored old things may become sad. For example, my Chinese teacher, a 60-year-old man, always complained to us that many valuable and special places, such as old street and traditional snacks, had disappeared from the modern life and he suffered from this loss. He suggested that had not the world changing so fast, he would have lived a happier life because he could have savored old memory .In this case, the unhappiness results from the loss of the past.

Finally, people must work harder and harder so that they are not obsoleted in the competition, because the world is changing so quickly. Fleetly life cannot give people less happy and less satisfied than what in the past.

In conclusion, according to the reasons that some people are not capable of adjusting to new life and of bearing the loss of old memory, I support the statement that people are less happy and less satisfied than those in the past.

7.30 综合 感觉细节不是很好,默默练习听力去了
In the listening material, the speaker says that genetically modified trees can cause a lot of problems, which is not in agreement with the statement in the reading passage. He thinks the views made by the reading passage are somewhat inaccurate and irrational when compared to what happened for real.

The first point of difference between the lecture and the reading passage is about whether genetically modified trees can get more opportunities to survive. The lecturer states that even though these trees can be more resistant to some viruses, they are not more likely to survive than other plants. Since their species are not so diverse, once they are attacked, all of them tend to be wiped out.

In addition, as the reading passage states that growing genetically modified trees can bring a number of income to the farmers, whereas the lecturer points out that the situation is not so simple. The farmers collect products from other trees without any investments, but for growing genetically modified trees, they have to pay money for the companys which invented these genes.

Finally, the speaker casts doubt on the reading material by illustrating that growing genetically modified trees can almost cause a big damage to wild trees. When they are growing together, growing genetically modified trees are able to absorb much more water or other resources that used to belong to wild trees, which has a very bad influence on those wild plants.

With the development of science and technology, the world haschanged so quickly. Some people suggest that people will be happier in such achanging world because they can experience many new inventions .However;(手误?改成逗号) I indicate that people are actually less happy and less satisfiedthan those in the past. I have(连着两个主语都是I,主语换一下会更好) two (你确定是two?从下面来看是三个原因啊)reasons as fellow: people cannot adapt themselves to the new way oflife and (如果是三个原因的话,这个and去掉换成逗号)cannotbear the loss of memory of old things and fast-paced life cannot bring peoplehappy and satisfied instead of higher pressure.

To begin with, some people, especially the old, are not able toadjust themselves to such a new world. Not only are they not familiar with thenew way of life, but also they are not capable of transforming their oldlifestyles into new ones owing to the small amount of knowledge, (加上andthus不能单独做并列连词)thus making them stay unhappyall the time. For example, my grandfather does not use digital devices andstill insisted(时态不对称,应该用现在时吧?) to his outmoded lifestyle--such as reading newspaper for the latestnews. As a result, when he tells me something interesting from the newspaper, Iallalways felt bored and laughed at him becauseI had known the 'latest news' several hours, even several days ago. Confrontedwith our tease, my grandfather once would like to change, but he failed due tohis lack of knowledge of computer. Moreover, some people who cherish old life may feel unhappy with thechange of life. With rapid development of economy, many things full of peoplepeople’s memory(其实我觉得把full换成covering或者filling up会更好点~ have undergone a lot oftransformations. And those who favored old things may become sad. For example,my Chinese teacher, a 60-year-old man, always complained to us that manyvaluable and special places, such as old street and traditional snacks, haddisappeared from the modern life and he suffered from this loss. Finally, people must work harder and harder so that they are notobsoleted in the competition, because the world is changing so quickly. Fleetly life cannot give people less happy and lesssatisfied than what in the past.(意思写反了)

In conclusion, according to the reasons that some people are notcapable of adjusting to new life and of bearing the loss of old memory, Isupport the statement that people are less happy and less satisfied than thosein the past.

写的太好了改不出什么啦--

Tips1. 第一个原因和第二个原因举例有点重复,都是自己身边的例子,把那个teacher或者grandpa说成一种现象,会显得例子更多样化;

2. 第三个原因没有展开来说,是因为乃觉得不用展开么?求讨论;

3. 好多都是“I .........,主语经常换一换显得多样化;

4. 我不知道这么想对不对,感觉第一个原因和第二个原因差不多啊,都是不能适应新生活,举得例子,一个是不能适应新生活的科技方面,一个是不能适应新生活的日常生活方面,差不多啊感觉,求讨论~
