'their' 'they' should refer to the same subject, else it doesnt make sense.
GMAT的原则没有改变 EllipsisAuxiliaries can appear alone where a main verb has been omitted, but is understood:"I will go, but she will not."
The verb do can act as a pro-VP (or occasionally a pro-verb) to avoid repetition:"John never sings in the kitchen, but Mary does." "John never sings in the kitchen, but Mary does in the shower."
从WIKI上的例句可以看出,就算两个分句的主语不为同一个,也可以省略谓语动词 另外,这道题也可以这么理解,在语言逻辑概念上看,wine是price这个动作的接收者,to sell是这个动作的目的,they是price这个动作的发出者,后半句用动作发出者they做主语是无可厚非的,以表示他们达到了sell的这个目的 their wines are priced to sell, and they do. 可以改成 they price their wines to sell, and they do. 请大家一起讨论下~不知道是否正确,因为一贯坚持GMAT的崇高语法准则,还是希望可以好好的坚持下去!
