【请问：一道有悖OG常规的题目！】

在OG和gmac的语法原则中，一句句子中，相同的代词(比如they, their, theirselves)只能指代相同的事物，否则就是常见的语法错误，但是我发现一个特例：

In an effort to reduce their inventories, Italian vintners have cut prices; their wines have been priced to sell, and they are.
(A) have been priced to sell, and they are
(B) are priced to sell, and they have
(C) are priced to sell, and they do
(D) are being priced to sell, and have
(E) had been priced to sell, and they have

答案是C。句中their wines的their肯定是指代酒商vintners，但后面一个 they按照OG语法规范应该只能指代vintners，但怎么推敲感觉句子想表达的意思都是指代wines，那这不就和OG语法规范矛盾了吗？大家有发现这个问题吗？

这里边的they指的就是their对应的Italian vintners啊，没有不一致呀。。。

这个。。首先多谢楼上2位大侠这么快就回复哈，非常感谢的！只是我查了好多以前的帖子，很多大牛们都说应该指wines，并给出了好多理由，我随便找了个帖子，http://forum.chasedream.com/GMAT_SC/thread-25876-1-1.html，其实还有很多帖子。郁闷的是：这个帖子从03年开始到如今还每一个很好的结论，所以我再次把这个问题提出。

按照句意，最后一句翻译过来是：wines被定价了卖，它们的确被卖掉了。因为只有2个sell的主语保持是同一个事物，后一个sell才好省略掉吧？大家的意见呢？我感觉我迷糊了。。。

OG和GMAC语法都没说，代词只能指代相同的事物。能相同做好，但是不能的话，如果指代清晰（或者可以说读句子，你能很容易明白它指代谁，且指代别的就不是人话了），也可以。

总之，指代问题并不是一个absolute的错误点。

B They have would require sold to complete it, not sell
C Correct. This sentence properly uses they do in place of they do sell, a grammatically correct verb.
D Have would require sold to complete it, not sell; omitting the subject they means that the comma should be omitted as well
E They have would require sold to complete it, not sell; the use of the past perfect had been priced distorts meaning
The correct answer is C.

首先，OG里边的解释是这样的
In the underlined segment, the second verb does not need to repeat the word well because it is understood from the previous verb phrase priced to sell. However, the second ver must be correctly conjugated with the understood well. They are sell is not a correct verb fform; they do sell is correct.
翻译一下：划线部分，第二个动词不必重复sell，因为根据前面的priced to sell（定价来卖）这个短语能够明白，后面的动词就是sell（vintners标价来卖葡萄酒，vintners确实卖了葡萄酒）。
但是第二个动词必须能够连接隐含的sell这个动词原形，用are不行，they are sell不符合语法要求（应该用they are selling），所以they do sell（强调句）是正确的
这是从解析来分析，OG认为“;”后的这句话的意思就是，酒商们给葡萄酒定价以便出售（to do表目的）；酒商们确实把酒卖了。

其次，我们从做题的角度来分析。
根据GMAT语法要求，同一个句子的同一代词必须指代相同对象，第一个their你已经确定是指代vintners了，那么第二个they就必须也指代vintners
于是我们发现，they are后面要么接sold，表被动，则they=wines，不符合要求，排除
                                         要么接selling,表主动，但时态有问题。排除
最后，只能改变思路，用强调句不是蛮好~那就是they do sell.他们确实把酒给卖了。

我的意思其实就是，不要在错误的答案上去找规律，A选项本来就是错的，当然会造成their和they指代对象不同了，就因为这个它才错的呀！
而C选项是正确的，一读就会发现，啊，原来their和they指代的对象相同，这就不违背要求了，就因为这个它才对啊！
