我还是觉得c是不对的，因为原文中没有提到preindustrial world的生产过程，只是提到了它限定了最终的消费者的选择，所以不能假设它不是由a single group来控制生产过程的；原文中对两者进行比较的基础是在消费层面上的，所以是对access to commodities的多少进行的比较，preindustrial world对消费者有限定，所以access少，vertical economy 对消费者没什么限定，所以access多。

不知道我理解的对不对？

如果我没记错的话，你是支持D的对吗？D这里说的greater access文中并没有这样的比较啊！文中只是说pre-industrial world用long-distance network这种方法，而andean highland主要用 vertical economy, 没有比较他们谁的access to commodities比较大。

line30也提到了the commodities produced in these zones，所以C的production process就值得怀疑，而且文中也没提到long-distance trade networks是否allowed a single group to maintain control over ... ，所以C错

D说greater access，是因为对于住在高地的人们来说，long-distance trade networks无法提供commodities from lower, warmer climatic zones，所以才创造了vertical economy，由此推出vertical economy allowed greater access ...

如果你能证明highland Incas的确是由于get greater access才使用多一些vertical economy的话，那这题就是D了。否则C更合适一些。我们看文章的上下文就知道，long-distance trade network不可能一个single group entirely control所有produce process的。作物在一个地方生长，为了进行物物交换来获得很多的variety，或许更多lower warmer climate zones products，才有了long-distance trade network。

我觉得这题解题是个infer题，不是纯粹文章中能找到原句的细节题。所以根据现有文章的信息，read between the lines，我觉得Ｃ更确定一些。Ｄ实在有些不确定的东西在里面，不能推断出来。
