suppose that there are an infinite number of stores, half of which charge $1 for a product, and half charging $2. You check prices at three stores randomly and purchase from the store that has the minimum price of the three prices checked. What is the expected price you will pay?
是不是E(X)=0.5*1+0.5*2=1.5就OK了？不是很擅长做这种题

i think it should be (1/2)^3x2 + (1-(1/2)^3)x1 = 1.125.

What is the answer?

其实是看排列，每个店有两种可能，因此共有8种可能，而这8种排列里只有一种是3个店都为2元（没有选择最小的机会），其它7种排列至少有一个店是1元，因此会选择1元。
那么期望值就是E(X)=1/8*2+7/8*1=9/8
和1楼是一样的道理。
