选项有：were both thought-out and poorly worded. 我选了这个，现在知道肯定是错的，因为当时理解错了thought-out的意思。意为深思熟虑。

not only...but also...后一般接形容和副词，但也有接名词代词的情形。如：not only you but also I must come in time.且要采用就近原则。both...and ... 后主要接名词代词，一般不接修饰性的词。

所以我觉得是not only, but also.

both ...and 好像讲不通啊，are both thought out and worded poorly.  both 后和and 后的语意不一致，thought out 意为 经过深思熟虑的，worded poorly 意为措辞不足，both 和and 前后要求语意平行，如果是这样的话就成反义了，所以支持not only ...but also
