I am preparing documents for applying schools. One school requires me to provide an outline of my interest in REF. Is there any possible to ask you to make some remarks or any suggestion for this outline? (no more than 2 pages) Thanks.
Write something you are familiar with. Are you familiar with direct real estate or securitized real estate? Do you know more about real estate industry in the emerging markets or the mature markets? Are you more interested in property-level real estate finance or corporate-level/portfolio-level real estate finance? It's all your choice bull113.
I have to say I was probably too greedy. I was going to cover many topics which I am interested in. For example, I would like to study on 1) how marcoeconomic factor work together? (interest rates, inflation rate, housing price, stock market index) 2) what were the market condition to establish REITs? 3) behaviour finance theories vs. real estate market 4) portfolio level - how to assess performance and risk of a mixed-assets portfolio.
For me, it sounds a bit too broad, too theoratical and irrelevant to yourself. MSRE is not a PhD, so you may want to focus a bit more on yourself... I may be wrong though.
Thank you for your kindly noticing. I have noticed the specific requirements of this outline. I have checked the webpage again. This UK school asks me to provide a statement of purpose, which is also need me to focus on myself and is quite similar with PS. I was wrong......fortunately, I have done the second version of my PS and will work on it .....

It is a Mphil course. That is why they require me to provide an outline.
