Does any NN knows the application information about the REF @Cornell?
I got two degrees from U.K. already. Is there any possible for me to ask for an exemption of TOFEL?  I did not take GMAT test before, so is that okay?

Or what kind of person does the unveristy/department look for?

Many thanks~

As far as I remember, if you got a degree in a English-speaking program, you are expemted from TOEFL.
But it's always better to ask the admission people @Cornell Real Estate Program to double check, things may change...
GMAT probably is a must.
Just check their webpage everything will be there.

In fact, we talked about the same thing.
In terms of the admission requirements of their webpage, the GMAT is  a must for all candidates.
Language test score depends on; if you studied in a english-speaking country for above 2 years, you may get an exemption for TOFEL.

Man, don't be afraid. You should apply for all tier-one and tier-two programs. You are on your way in!

In fact, I am still struggling with which country will I apply for, U.S. or .U.K.
I've checked some REF programmes  in both two countries.  I think the U.S. real estate market seems more mature rather than the UK one even anyone in Europe, the U.S.  programmes seem more attractive to me. But all U.S. universities require GAMT score. I am afraid that I dont really have time to prepare it.  The universities in the U.K. do not need GMAT socre.
Mummm.....I am still struggling with myself.

Are you in China at the moment? Sign up for an one-month training school and get a GMAT test asap. If you score anything 680 and up, it's good enough for most MSRE(D)s.

I have been working in China for 4 years already.
Fine, I will contact a training school for asking if they can offer me a part-time course.
Actually I got confused. Why american business schools pay so much attention to the GMAT socre?  I am not going to take a MBA course, but just a Msc course.

Thank you very much @equn

Hi bull113,
From my point of view, GMAT is just like a qualifier. It's not that important. Scoring something 700+ will be great. If you just got 680 it's fine too.
The issue is that most Chinese entry-level people don't have many things to leverage other that GMAT scores. So it makes sense for them to work hard on GMAT and score high and wow the admission people. The fact is that there are so many things other than the standardized test scores that can wow the admission guys. So I will say take the test easy.
Last but not least, it makes sense too for B-schools to give applicants a bit pressure prior to their B-school life. Someone who can handle a test, a bunch of applications, recommendation letters and others while working, he or she should be able to survive the tight schooling and the tough job market. So wrap up your worries and questions, start working on the real things!
Good luck!
