答案是E 不知道为什么 我选得是B 认为LL需要扩大劳动力和材料的成本就不可能most benefit 这样理解有什么

benefit不等于profit.
新技术的唯一缺陷是需要regenerate, LL靠制造这个regenerate的东西获利, 但E说那种可以免去regenerate的新技术在研发, 这样的话, 即便new networks推出后, LL也无法获利, 因为新技术可以使信号不需要regenerate就可以传输

提到扩大成本 而没有说到收入如何 没能削弱 也可能是 成本大了 收入也大了

      A,说electrical wires不需要regenerate就可以比fiber-optic传播信号传播得更远。但是原文结论(if new long-distance fiber-optic telecommunications networks are constructed.)说了已经换了fiber-optic,所以A选项的比较没有意义。

B,先留着。

C,可以carry多少volume与可不可以transmit farther不能建立联系,注意原文讨论的关键是传播举例问题,因为信号在fiber-optic中传播的时候会deteriorate,所以才提出要通过regernerator.C是无关选项。

D,理由同A,已经说了要换fiber-optic,所以即使有一种技术可以使信号不通过wire或者fiber-optic cabe传播也不能影响结论。

E,说生产商在研发一种regenerator技术可以不通过regeneration就传播得比现在的距离远很多,所以不需要通过regenerator就可以达到目的,直接削弱原文(那家公司可以在这个计划中得到很多好处)

B,讨论的是成本更多,与原文建立的联系没有E直接,而且成本多了收入也多啊,不知道那个增多的程度更大,所以无法判断Light-line是否可以从中受益。
这道题需要比较的是BE选项。

我觉得这道题的意义就在于要大家看完所有选项在选择答案,而相比较而言E是最好的答案。
关键还是在题目。
题中强调L在整个行业中是leading company,therefore, 他是最受益的公司。
答案E说明,同行业的其他公司在研发新技术,这会影响L公司的 leading 地位,因此割断因果关系,直接削弱
