4.     According to the passage, which of the following is true of the unemployment rates mentioned in line 15?

(A) They hovered, on average, around 15 percent during the period 1870-1920.

(B) They give less than a full sense of the impact of unemployment on working-class people.

The article said "Given this perspective, joblessness looms much larger", which means that the number should be larger than 15 percent.

A. wrong. it said it is around 15 percent.

b. 15 percent is not less than the impact, which means that it should be larger than that number.

c. it talked about middle class, which is irrelvant.

d. I think "by many historians " is wrong here. the article does not say that.

Given this perspective, joblessness looms much larger,但我还是不明白为什么要选B?

He finds that rates of joblessness differed primarily according to class:

the startlingly high rate of geographical mobility in the nineteenth-century United States.

第8题选D是因为the startlingly high rate of geographical mobility in the nineteenth-century United States.
