偶最恨用偶那个Webster大字典，2000多页，死重死重的，但是为了whose的用法，今天好好的查了查。偶也是有生以来第一次才明白whose也可以指代物。 whose的解释二是: (the possessive case of which used as an adjective) (For example) a word whose meaning escapes me; an animal whose fur changes color

用法补充: Sometimes the phrase of which is used as the possessive of which: Chicago is a city of which the attractions are amny or Chicago is a city the attractions of which are many. The use of this phrase can often seems awkward or pretentious, whereas WHOSE sounds more idiomatic: Chicago is a city whose attractions are many.

所以D正确。 说不太清楚为什么B错，就是觉得B中的raising用得怪怪的。

我觉得so high that从句是不能独立存在于raising分词结构里的. 可以参考OG205的D为什么错.

是的.我选B.极其郁闷的发现答案是D.可是我觉得cost去raise那个bill很别扭啊,应该是提高cost的行为才提高了bill啊.

可是B里面的at a cost raising..., 这里的raising修饰的是cost, 意思也是"cost去raise那个bill"啊...

考虑逻辑意思是没错, 但是我觉得应该先由语法规则入手, 然后剩两三个选项的时候考虑意思. 我排除B的理由如15楼所说, 语法规则上有错误.

这个语法规则rhod GG能不能再讲讲？OG205是说，although从句只能修饰谓语（是这个意思吗？），那这里呢？raising在这里一定修饰cost吗？能修饰前面的动词吗？

d的意思没错呀，就是cost raise bill了呀。我猜rhod的意思是介词短语里不能跟从句吧？

although从句是independent clause, 不能独立存在, 必须有一个dependent clause.

即He is happy although he has no money是完整的, 而being happy although he has no money是错误的. 所以OG205说although不能存在于一个介词结构中.

同理, so ... that后面的that从句应该也不能单独存在与一个分词短语里.
