这个题很诡异的，我做的时候也错了，这里我觉得更多的是逻辑的平行，这个东西过去spawned blahblah。。现在extending，之所以用进行时是因为这是一个“living organism ”所以逻辑上讲是在继续extending。

这题我刚开始也觉得是单数，可是既然未划线部分明确使用了复数形式，那么你也应该一样使用复数，因为它是第一个literate culture，这是在过去所以是过去式，而well known 说的是一个事实，因什么而出名，你不能说它在过去出名，所以用一般现在时，表现一个普遍认可的这么一个现象
