难道 conversation 可以subsitute for telephone?OG中明确说了限制性定语从句就是修饰的最近的词....怎么还可能条约修饰...没听过...

查了一下Longman，conceive of sb/sth as sth 是idiom。

但是，如果回顾OG，ETS要考的不是绝对的对错。从句意上来说，E选项更能表达清楚的意思

M以为收音代替电话成为一种用于私人谈话的工具，而不是现在正好相反的大众化的传播工具。

大家可能更关心前半部分，C选项的as固然更保险，但是其也有许多错误，it 的指代就不明不白，另外，完成时态也有问题。

正因为各有对错，大家也自然各有选择，但是如果靠事实让我选，我会更倾向逻辑句意更优的e选项，anyway, all bet.
