哪位给解释一下E的意思啊。not....before应该没有not until的意思吧。。。

想不明白啊，如果是在检测之前没有把金子加进去，那他什么时候加进去的。。。

将E取非，在样品检验前F放金在样品中。这样F的样品含金高而实际不高的原因就不是方法不对了。结论说方法不对就不成立。故为假设。

易混的是D。好像也是排除他因。但原文说的是检验K岛的金含量。其他岛的情况无关。选D的原因在于认为F用其它岛的样品充当K岛样品。但原文没这层意思。

inaccurate 的原因有2：要么是method要么是sample。

既然原文结论否定了method, 假设的自然是sample了。

其中sample 错的可能也有2：一是用了别的sampl(即D）, 二是用的仍是K岛的但是加了gold(即E）。

虽然我当时选了E，但觉的D也没错。

是否可以这么理解：D会有金子的含量高或低的可能，没有E这么definite -- 加了金子嘛含量自然高.  所以E比D好？

我选了D, 要想对样本进行检测, 必须知道样本出不出自同地点. F给出的样本如果是从canadian island别的地方采集的, 而Elizabeth I funded two mining expeditions是在不同的地方. Elizabeth所认为的a very low gold content而得出F给的样本含金量不对这个结论根本就是ill founded. 简单说. F 在W处找的sample, Elizabeth如果是在Q处开矿发现含金没有F 说的多就人为F 说的错. 这样的推断是错的.

D 排除了上述的异地样本比较的可能,才能运用method对样本检验, 所以是假设.

E 说的和method正不正确好象无关.

          E取非——>在16世纪检查F收集的样本之前，金如果加入到样本中的话，那么检测出高的金含量是必然的，因此16世纪的检测金技术未必有错误
