Although compact cars make up only 38 percent of the vehicles in traffic, 48 percent of the cars that are followed too closely ("tailgated") are compact.  On the other hand, fewer than 27 percent of the cars tailgated are middle-sized, even though middle-sized cars make up 31 percent of the vehicles in traffic.
Which of the following, if true, most contributes to an explanation for the phenomenon described above?
(A) The shape of compact cars make it easy for a tailgater to see far enough ahead around such cars to minimize the chance of rear-end collision.
(B) Middle-sized cars, owned by families with children and pets, are likely to have bumper stickers that are interesting to read that tailgaters stay behind such cars longer.
(C) Compact cars sometimes have superior engines that allow them to pass middle-sized cars on the highway easily.
(D) The percentage of cars on the highway that are middlesized has been steadily decreasing over the past decades.
(E) Compact cars are often driven by fast drivers.
选项B为什么不对?选项A为什么解释的是“追尾”现象?

The choice B explanation says the compact car is so small that the cars following compact cars have a better view of what's going on ahead of them.  Therefore more drivers feel safe to follow closely to a compact car than to a middle-sized car.

小车的结构利于追尾,IS NOT 就是 compact cars 追在其他的车后; BUT the compact cars are followed closely by other cars.

B on the other hand, does not talk about compact car.
