以前上XDF的时候老师说这里的with 可以跳跃修饰vegetarian

XDF的解释太模糊了，这里不是with跳跃修饰的问题，而是独立主格的问题。GMAT考试中会考到三种独立主格，with独立主格，as独立主格和名次短语独立主格。（好像是这三个吧）。其中，名词短语独立主格和主语无紧密关系，with独立主格却与主语有紧密关系。比如这一题，肉和蔬菜是并列的，都是主语diet的内容，用with，跟主语发生紧密关系，就能说明肉和蔬菜并列，而用名词性短语meat rarity就无法表达这个并列关系，可能会把meat和前面列举的蔬菜的种类混起来。

白勇的书里有对这个的解释，你有的话翻出来看看。

到底with 跳跃修饰的规则是怎么样的？

这里with没有跳跃修饰，A中with短语作定语，介词短语作定语时一般就近修饰名词。所以A中with修饰的是individual，产生歧义。

看with修饰什么，要先分清楚with短语的成分和作用，而不是看with的作用。

position：光从employees对supervisor的评价来论断一个领导的工作是不够的，不充足的，应该使用各方面的信息和评价。

1.employee从常识来说，是比较care自己的interests的，往往会从自己的利益出发来评价supervisor，不公平

2.employee从事的工作范围内容等有限，无法获知supervisor的全部的工作内容和表现

3.employee相对比较看重短期表现，而supervisor经常必须侧重长期思路和发展策略

admittedly，完全排除employee的看法也是不对滴，employee是最直接检验supervisor工作的一线人员啊。所以最好的方法就是结合employee和其他信息比如supervisor负责项目的成功与否、其上级的评价、supervisor的背景等等。

我认为，ETS使用with是喜欢的原则是（可能有些主观）：

with短语表解释说明时，表非限定，此时，一般会用逗号隔开，明确修饰的对象。例如，OG114，OG179，OG205。

with短语表限定作定语时一般都紧跟修饰词后。例如，OG141，OG152。

而with在句子中没有用逗号隔开时，又表示非限定的解释说明，往往就会造成修饰歧义（是修饰紧跟的词还是句子主语）。例如，OG212

可以从OG212题中得到例证。

212. The Baldrick Manufacturing Company has for several years followed a policy aimed at decreasing operating costs and improving the efficiency of its distribution system.

(A)  aimed at decreasing operating costs and improving

(E)   with the aim to decrease operating costs and to improve

The best choice, A。。。E, with the aim... improve can easily be construed as referring to the Baldrick Manufac­turing Company and so does not refer unequivocally to policy.(不管是谁with the aim 只要有两种可能性，就是有歧异)
