We encourage applicants to apply when they feel they are ready. This means that the applicant is confident they are presenting the admissions committee with the most complete and competitive profile of possible. An applicant would put themselves at a distinct disadvantage if they rush to apply for an earlier deadline and are unable to provide us with a complete competitive profile. Each year the application pool changes, so an individual that may have been admitted in previous years may not be admitted in the current year. Hence the importance of the complete, holistic, and competitive application. That being said, there is always an advantage to applying in the earlier rounds because all of the seats and scholarship dollars are still available. The key is to prepare the application far in advance and take advantage of the earlier rounds.
Graaskamp center of real esate是我们center的名字，Graaskamp是一个大牛教授，当年撑起了wisconsin re的大旗。这个center的主要任务一方面是发扬wisconsin的优秀传统（通过组织行业活动、校友活动等network方式，当然科研水平也是top级别），一方面是为re的mba服务。最近感觉比较好的活动是大概每两周一次的speaker series活动，center邀请一些行业成功人士，进行讲座、交流、network。时间通常安排在没有core class的周五，上午speaker分享多年来的经历、经验，中午network 吃饭，下午speaker与所有二年级、一年级的20多个mba同学举行圆桌论坛。在这种论坛的环境中，一方面你能强烈感受到professional的气氛，因为所有同学都有3-7年的工作经验，问的问题都具备相当水准，另外一方面你能强烈感受到一种团结亲密小集体的氛围。因为每个center一二年级加起来不过30人，在这种论坛的环境中，每个人都在积极思考、贡献问题，冷场超过3秒钟时肯定会蹦出来一个很好的问题。大家着装也都极其formal。会场通常也都很top。
