INSEAD MBA Class of 2011 July Taking Questions

Wanna some suggestions from the current/previous INSEADer please, thanks a lot~~~

Education:BSc+MSc from good biz schools in EU, GPA of 3.3, GMAT>700, no TOEFL yet
W/E: 1 yr quant risk mgmt in a top-notch bank (EU based)+1 yr credit risk mgmt in a top financial institute (China based)+ currently in a median-size local VC (CNY+USD >2 billion CNY), China based)

Questions: How's the probability for me to land a suitable job in direct investment/investment banking in EU and HK/SG, for this question, I wanna know INSEAD's reputation in HK/SG financial area? Since I found the scheme in INSEAD is a little bit short for social and internship within only 1 yr. Moreover, is SG campus offering me much more opportunities than FR campus if I wanna work in SG/HK?

1, If you can't speak the local language (like French), the only place for you to find a IB job in Europe is London. The prob pretty much depends on your own experience and capability, while Insead will offer you the access to most of the BB IBs (they will have campus presentation in Insead).

2, SG and FR campus offer the same chance, the only difference is that SG is more convenient for you if you need to do an interview in HK or China

3, If you apply for the December class, you will have the summer to do the internship which will increase your chances quite a lot. Last year, a lot of 10D students got the internship offers from BB IBs.

所有的人都是两个校友面试的，少数是一个校友面试。

我的面试时候的问题有介绍自己的简历，还有针对essay问些标准的面试问题，剩下的都是纯聊天。

如果你觉得有需要解释的问题, 特别是如果能给你整个package提供added value, 就写opitonal essay.
