In an attempt to reduce the crime rate, the governor is getting tough on criminals and making prison conditions harsher.Part of this effort has been to deny inmates the access they formerly had to college-level courses.However, this action is clearly counter to the governor’s ultimate goal, since after being released from prison, inmates who had taken such courses committed far fewer crimes overall than other inmates.

以下是我的思考过程，但是错了，不知道哪里错了啊，
市长想通过把监狱环境变糟糕来达到降低犯罪率的目的。其中一项措施就是不许服刑人员学习大学水平的课程了。however，作者认为这项措施不能让市长达到降低犯罪率的目的，因为刑满释放之后，上过这些课程的犯人比其他犯人更少再犯罪
问题是以上论述是基于什么假设。
相当于正确选项应该是论述成立的必要条件
对正确选项取反，应该能削弱论述结论
我是这么想的，对A取反，没学课程的人能够不去犯他们本来可能犯的罪，从而犯罪率降低。作者的观点是，不提供课程可能导致犯罪率不能降低。所以对A取反后刚好削弱了作者的观点

如果一道题原因和结果都在比较优先选择比较对象相同比较。

文中比较对象是上没上过大学课程的罪犯：inmates who had taken such courses committed far fewer crimes overall than other inmates.

A是比较一个罪犯上没上大学课程，B的比较是罪犯和普通大众，C的比较是上没上过大学课程的罪犯，D是比较高中课程和大学课程。

所以直接选C就行了。这种题千万别钻，越钻越麻烦。A你要解释肯定也说得同，但是肯定不如比较对象相同的更加来得直接来的其如其分。

C的逆否命题：The group of inmates who chose to take college-level courses were already more likely than other inmates to commit crimes after being released. 就是架桥型假设没有问题
