The best way to approach a school’s set of essays is to think about YOUR OWN experiences. Forget what they ask about—at least at first. Instead, make a list of the 4-5 stories that you want to tell. Your Greatest Hits album! That way, no matter WHAT they ask, you will always write the best possible application. So here, they are asking a very easy question. I would argue that ANY of your 4-5 Greatest Hits could work here. Just tell a story about a time when you did something great. And as you tell the story, make it clear that it was very hard for you, and that not many other people of your age or skill level had done it before. And then…you are done! Don’t let the questions’ wording fool you. Just tell your best stories!
