No exactly two people are born entirelysame. Even the twins have some trivial differences since they come to the worldand the older they get, the more deviations in their performances and minds. Aswe all know the fact that we are somewhat different from other people in theworld, we should consider the differences when we make group decisions or takeactions which might affect other people.
As high pace globalization and technology transformationoccur, people are becoming more open-minded. Nowadays in most fields, peopleshow increasing respects to others’ differences. For example, now we let theseniors and pregnant ladies sit in buses while we stand; we give ways todisabled people when we walk; and we try to be nice to our foreign friends wheneverthey ask for a favor. In the business world, people show more interest inothers’ competitive advantages and are willing to share different knowledgebases. All these facts definitely reflect that people now are more aware of thedifferences between themselves and others than ever before, and as far as I am concerned,the general trend that our society is heading to a politer direction shows aprogress in the development of our nation.
However, we should still be cautious. Sometimesthose who we think need different treatment may not desire our special care. Ihad once got hurt in a car accident and had to sit in a vehicle for a fewmonths. Everyone cares my safety. My mother was highly willing to protect me.She became very reluctant to my demand to hanging out with my friends. She prohibitedme from going outside with my friends, even for studying purpose. She worriedthat my friends might take advantages at my short-term disability. But she didn'tget what I felt. Although I was hurt physically, I was still healthy in my mind!“If only mum can treat me as a normal girl!” I murmured. My own experiencetaught me a lesson that it is really important to care what the ones differentfrom us in the way they desire, not just to take actions in the way we thinkappropriate.

科技进步确实给整个社会的发展带来了不容忽视的贡献。所以学校确实应该提供科学和技术的知识。但是文化和艺术依然是不可或缺的，而且他们的作用并不亚于科技。
我们知道，科学的源泉是创造力，而art 是开拓创造力的一个很大的motivation 。如果限制了艺术的发展，那么人们的想象力可能会丧失，创造新事物的动力也许就会衰退。所以启蒙教育必须要提供艺术，甚至更应该focus在艺术上。科学的初始往往是枯燥的，特别是对小孩来说。如果一开始就全都教授数学、物理、化学，估计10个孩子里面有9个会厌学。所以最起码在初等教育上应该重视艺术。
而对于大学生来说，艺术和科技是两个事业的方向，为了每个人可以针对自己的理想和兴趣去针对性的学习，学校依然需要提供不同的learning contents.虽然说科技的进步是巨大的，但是我们也不能忽略艺术的进步。比如说电影事业、服装事业，也都有着巨大的进步。而且归根结底，高科技带来的进步依然是为了改善生活，而艺术更直接的让人更加体会美。
事实上，不仅仅是学校，business world也应该注意art和technology 的平衡。因为始终面对着colorless contents,员工的efficiency会下降。在很多high-tech公司，R&D部门旁边都会有一个entertainmentroom 让engineers去 listen some music, read some articles to relax from the mathematicalor coding world. 而且就拿我自己的experience来说，作为一个auditor我真切地体会到一直对着endless statements, tables full of numbers 是多么boring。而在我们公司，Latin class让我enjoy a lot. 而且我们有movie night towatch some popular movies, 这样的调试我才没有be driven crazy.

1、网上有一些不好的因素包括色情、暴力正暴露在儿童的视野中，影响着他们的心理健康。所以针对这一现象作出应对是每一个政府的重要责任。但是，由于互联网的无国界性质，如果一个国家不对少儿不宜的内容作出应对，那么其他国家的努力就是要白费的。比如说，虽然中国政府正在严格查处不良网站，但是在国外有一些付费的色情网站并不在我们国家的控制之内，所以孩子们依然可以通过这些网站浏览到不当的内容。所以说，国家之间的合作是必须的。
2、每个国家都有自己在技术上的比较优势，如果各国合作，各个国家就可以分享自己的成功经验，带动其他国家在这件事的成果。
3、事实上，不仅仅是国家之间需要合作，为了孩子的健康成长，其他的合作也是必要的，比如说政府和学校之间的合作，家长和学校之间的合作，等等。而国家合作作为一个background，也会促进这种更加specific 和detailed的合作。

我觉得是讨论总是变革到底是对一个组织好还是不好。
我想了一下：
1）变革带来新的理念和管理方法，提高效率。对于一个组织的进步是有好处的。for example, 说我是做financial services的，my client's conversion from hand-based book recording system to computer-based information system usually dramatically enhance their working efficiencies and reduce their errors.
2）但是，大规模变动显然会带来negative effects。典型的恶果就是变革会使员工感觉到不安全。For example, when machines are used to a large extent in a traditional manufacturing company, a large amount of workers might lose their jobs. So after the transformation, the original workers will lose confident about the management team. 而且事实也表明，那些常常变革的公司，如果不是由于技术变革的必然原因，往往是由于管理者在变革中没有目标或者没有计划导致的，这是对组织资源的一种巨大浪费。
3）我认为，能提高productivity或者reduce cost的变化是necessary的。但是管理者在决定变化的时候要非常的谨慎，深思熟虑，有所规划。可以分几步：首先决定为什么要变，哪里需要变；在决定目标是变成什么样；然后考虑如何变化能达到目标，需要哪些帮助；然后指定具体的改革方案，具体执行。另外，变革的整个过程，从planing to execution，都应该和every participant 进行沟通，这样才能有效地减小变革阻力。

说因为increasing industrial pollution,某地区的National parks对游客的吸引力不像过去一样好了，tourism industry的revenue在过去五年持续下降。最近在这些national parks里发现了矿产。政府应该同意mining，因为1. mining companies 将会提高政府的tax revenue 2. 会提供hundreds of jobs for workers previously working in tourism industry. 另外，即使without mining，tourism 的revenue还是会下降，所以应该批准mining。
