根据题干This year the plantings are being seriously damaged by bollworms

但作者argue说不是Bollworms对cotton’s insecticide有了免疫 而是因为今年Bollworms 数量太多

也就是说 cotton’s insecticide还是在发挥作用的

B选项 seriously damaged by bollworms——suffering unusually extensive damage from bollworms
    

如果B的回答为是 则没有insecticide的cotton比有 insecticide cotton如B中遭受的损失大

那么说明insecticide还是有作用的 毕竟有和没有虽然都损失了 但还是有轻重 那么题干结论合适

如果B的回答是否

那就说明题干中的结论站不住脚 还更可能是bollworms有了免疫

2楼说的好。非基因工程棉的损害与往年比比,

若无变化则是抗体问题,若损害也大与往年,则是虫子太多了,通吃。
