第一题：if only是只要的意思，“仅仅凭此原因，就可以说明问题”，我感觉句子要优于词组。当然这道题目本身存在争议答案B，普遍倾向是E

第二题：D的exhausting its oil reserves逻辑主语是谁？是fund！但这个是逻辑错误。其实我一直在想，A是不是有可能对，如果说intention是ALASKA的，with the intention作伴随状语，为何不可呢？

with the intention，既可以修饰ALASKA，又可以修饰FUND，有歧义。

而D选项的错误在于，its错误的指代了fund。

我的观点有点不同：

第一题： avoid facilities or avoid duplication？ 我觉得是后者优先，避免一个facilities逻辑上没有前者好

第二题： A是一个典型的独立主格结构，和主句形成紧密的逻辑联系，做主句的状语，若前面没有逗号，则会有修饰fund的歧义，我觉得是，with intention of doing rather than with intention to do, intend to do是对的； after exaustion of its oil reserves 表达也不太好
