查了网上的很多资料，似乎这道题是争议题，有人说选D，我也认为是不对的

似乎B项中，针对其他作物的杀虫剂的价格的意思也包含了针对转基因棉花的杀虫剂价格，也就是说，如果普通棉花的杀虫剂价格远比针对转基因棉花的杀虫剂价格高，用量上细微的差异也可以带来巨大的经济效益差异。

还是用元素的思路比较好，题干中引入的因素是单位用量上的比较，结论是经济效益的比较，那么选项中涉及单价比较的项优先选择。

我认为应该选D。题目说因为种植modified seed比ordinary seed贵而且没有产生更高市场价值的产量（yield通常都指产量），所以种modified seed对棉农来说不是经济上有益的。

D正好问了是不是因为种植ms的面积太小了导致产量低（进而导致成本高）呢？
