OG says establishing…andusing…illogically modifies Athens. 好像意思是句末ing分词，用逗号隔开的，默认就是伴随状语一样
但是OG121中，句末ing分词，同样也是用逗号隔开，还是可以就近修饰personality traits的

2.在句末，不用逗号隔开

OG says, having…is ambiguous because it is unclear whether it refers to the Anasazi or otherclans.
这又是为什么？我觉得一般ing分词在句末，又没有用逗号隔开，应该是就近修饰名词的吧。比如在OG 82．Senator Lasker has proposed legislation requiring employers to retain all older workers.
这个是正确选项。这里就没有requiring...这个修饰语到底是修饰senator lasker还是legislation搞不清楚的困扰
-如果是逻辑主语是整个句子的伴随状语 那就百分之一百很完美地错了
OG101 说的很清楚
-如果是逻辑主语等于句子主语的伴随状语，没找到例子，不知道是不是必错，但是至少危险。
3. 在句中，不管是不是用逗号隔开，都只能作定语。修饰前面紧跟的名词，这里基本上不会出现任何的歧义。因为基本上是插在主谓之间，一个名词一个动词。插在2个名词之间的情况想不出来。
如果是状语，必错。
PS: 我指的是在一个主谓结构的真正意义上“中间”，并不是粗略地指整个题目的物理位置上的中间，因为比如 OG104 104. Nuclear fusion is the force that powers the Sun, the stars, and hydrogen bombs, merging the nuclei of atoms rather than splitting them apart, as nuclear reactors do. MERGING...短语看起来是在剧中，其实是在一个完整的主谓结构之后，所以作为一个伴随状语没有错
4.在句首 （一样还是指主谓结构的前面）
如果是放在句子的物理结构的一开头，没有歧义地修饰主语。
比如OG105. Originally developed for detecting air

analyze the chemical elements in 'almost any substance without destroying it,
is finding uses in medicine, archaeology, and criminology.
但是如果放在主语和其他短语之间，应该是优先修饰前面紧跟的名词，但是基本上都是有歧义的。 十分危险。
比如：

system, dominating the
music of the postwar period, Bartok founded no school and left behind
only a handful of disciples.
OG says, it introduces
confusion about what dominating…modifies
102. Beatrix Potter, in her book
illustrations, carefully

It says “Phrase carefully
coordinating ... illogically modifies the noun that immediately
