If 2 different representatives are to be selected at random from a group of 10 employees and if p is the probability that both representatives selected will be women, is p >1/2?

(1)    More than 1/2 of the 10 employees are women.

(2)    The probability that both representatives selected will be men is less than 1/10 .

                  

A. Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not sufficient.

B. Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (1) alone is not sufficient.

C. BOTH statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient.

请问这道题的解题思路是什么？答案是E。

问题是：

从10个人中，随机选择2个不同的人，则这2个人都是女人的概率P大于50%？

先看（1），说这10个人中，女人的数量大于50%。

好了，那么就假设女人有6个，男人有4个，那么抽中2个女人的概率是多少呢？P=(6/10)*(5/9)=33.3%,不符合原命题，不能选A

再看（2），说连续抽的这2个人都是男人的概率小于10%

好了，那么就假设男人有3个，女人有7个，那么抽中2个男人的概率是：P=(3/10)*(2/9)=6.7%,满足（2）的意思，但是满足原题么？

需要计算一下，这时候，3男7女，连抽2人都是女人的概率P=（7/10）*（6/9）=46.6%,所以说法（2）不能满足题目P＞50%的要求~不能选B

其实，男3女7，既满足（1），也满足（2），依然没有符合原题，所以C不对，当然D更不对了~

可见，E是答案~

哎，我开始以为女生超过5个，挑中2个都是女生的几率就超过50%了，不知道怎么想出来的。
