做物流的+金融专业 能否转咨询行业???呼唤达人解答!!!

我是做物流的,学的是金融,不过没作过一天金融,毕业也在跨国企业干了5,6年了,请问能否转咨询呢,咨询一直是我想尝试的兴趣领域,

我学校不是非常好的,也就2,3流本科吧,知道这里都是牛人,想请问能否可能转咨询行业呢?

Consulting firms like people with real operational experience. You can easily get a job in a consulting firm, provided that you don't mind specializing in logistics or SCM. You'll be loved by partners since projects on logistics need people like you to manage

To add a personal opinion, consulting experience would be good for your CV, especially if you wanna change career

it's hard for me to enter the consulting firms without any consulting experience, btw, I sent my CV to these consulting firms ,no any interview chance until now!

BTW,I don't think the MBA degree can provide me the good career path.

Could be because of timing. Many companies are laying off people and cutting consulting budgets. We posted an opening last week and have received more than 50 CVs already. Even so, you may want to polish your CV to make your experience stand out. A year ago, I KNEW that consulting firms needed specialists in certain areas within logistics, especially in China. Not sure about the situation now. What are your current responsibilities? Consulting firms prefer people who've strategic knowedge, e.g. how to build robust supply chains, but don't want tactical people, e.g. how to handle customs clearance from China to Russia, how to ship goods from Israel to the Arab World, etc.

Agreed - MBA isn't something you should go for if you wanna do consulting in logistics. As an employer looking at CVs, MBAs don't matter at all (they're not detrimental though). Work experience counts

Thanks for your opinion, I do have the experience both in supply chains and of customs clearance fields....

As you said,because of timing, many companies are cutting consulting budgets, could you pls help to advise me how many consulting firms are focusing on logistic field? any other way for me to enter these consulting firms,51job or chinaHR? it's really hard!

I do have the knowledge of supply chain,until now most of the consulting firms are focusing on the IT system ,such as SAP or others ERP system,my background hasn't any relationship with that....

当然,我确实承认一个名校的mba从长远来说,绝对是对职业发展很有用处,毕竟两个同等能力条件的人，mba学历的人前途要长远一点．

不过,目前的经济形式下,我觉得海归很多都回国求职,性价比不高．

国内的话，其实我觉得mba基本都是钱堆出来的，一样的话，还不如出国申请个比较好的．

虽然我目前收入不高，口气很大。。。汗！

何况我是女生...6年工作经验，以前学校背景不是很好，以后出国念名校mba机会成本太高。

莫非只有mba一条路?我觉得学mba还不如去考个什么cfa 之类的相关证书呢?

考CFA来寻求咨询公司的机会是南辕北辙了

你的背景不属于典型的咨询公司所选择的candidate，所以，常见的路径无非两条：

1、去一个好的MBA项目，毕业之后作为MBA的校园招聘求职咨询公司

2、Experienced hire - 如果咨询公司正好需要你的行业/职能经验，而你适时出现，那么也有可能被选中。一般不会那么好运，所以要么内部人推荐，要么猎头给你推荐。而另一个问题是，你的物流经验到底有多少价值，如果只是比较中低端的运营经验，恐怕（对领先的管理咨询公司来说）也不是那么有用

至于别的可能，不敢说一定没有，但肯定是上述两者为绝大多数情况

每年希望加入咨询的人很多，最终能加入的人很少，这个情况历来如此（其实是个围城拉——想从咨询转行的也很多，最终转成行的也不多）。所以，职业发展要理性和感性相结合，既要努力尝试，也要有一份“得之，我幸；不得，我命”的轻松心态，不要一条路走到底。
