做物流的+金融专业 能否转咨询行业???呼唤达人解答!!!

S版说的我基本上都明白了,非常感谢您的建议,

考CFA针对的是我之前学的金融专业,觉的想找个能把物流跟金融结合起来的点,不想浪费而已.

我以前的老东家出现过,MBA毕业生做最基础的出口操作,当然精力财力足够的情况下我肯定会去念.

您说的第二点我非常同意,关键是我目前为止觉得物流非兴趣所在,想找一个金融和物流结合的领域...觉得咨询可能会是兴趣所在而已.

另外您说的"你的物流经验到底有多少价值,如果只是比较中低端的运营经验"

我想了解的是,500强的物流公司和solution function/key account/vmi function方面的经验如果不够的话,什么样算是高端的物流经验呢?给我指个方向,我也好继续努力啦!

楼主你好,我的情况跟你有点相似,我是在国有大型航空集团做operation management,3年经验,本科在国内还算可以,想转咨询,想做物流或供应链方面的咨询,今年准备申请mba,但在选校方面有些犹豫,主要还是去美国还是去中欧的犹豫,求大牛能不能给点建议,在美国,mit,msu,asu,psu  等在supply chain managememt 方面都很强,可是以后还是想回国发展,不知中欧在这方面如何?
还有msu,asu,psu在美国都还算不上top的,不晓得以后毕业后进咨询的可能大么? 有前辈说不是top mba进top 的咨询诸如 MCK,Bain,BCG很难,不知进AT  kearney或R&B有希望么?
小弟我资质浅薄,还请牛人给出指点!谢谢

回楼主上个问题,个人认为如果你想读就去读吧,应为供应链跟金融还是有那么点关系的,何况越来越多的国际物流巨头把目光放在了供应连的另一环资金流上,谁能提供金融服务谁就有可能是最后的赢家,所以有金融背景是件好事啊,物流在中国刚刚起步,谁知道10年以后会发生多大的变化呢?我想这块就应该是您所说的金融跟物流的结合点了,至于跟咨询有没有关系我就不晓得了。
不过mba毕业后回来做基本操作实在是太太浪费了,这个也 从侧面反映出问题,国内的物流刚刚发展,很多理念还没建立,需要的只是熟练工而已,

Typical levers include integrating third-party supplier network into your business system, like what Toyota has done globally. This includes JIT ordering of parts and payment contingent on financial conditions to ensure suppliers are healthy. The American guys are tougher as they like to squeeze suppliers, in other words, increase payable days to reduce working capital

Another area is hedging and risk management. If you were to develop a mega-project that requires thousands of tons of steel, copper, aluminum and other materials, you need to ensure supply delivered on time, on cost and on quality. This requires skills in classical logistics areas of supplier selection, contracting, logistics and inventory management, to classical treasury skills like trading on the commodities market, FX risk control, liquidity management, to controller's skills like transfer pricing, tax management, financial reporting, combined with an understanding of P&C insurance contracts, among others. If you deal with suppliers from Muslim countries requiring financing, you might need to know the basics of Murabaha and other forms of Shariah-compliant contracts

Although at this moment, when I choose a 3PL or a supplier, I would divide the pieces, evaluating them strictly on operational performance, and engineering the financial parts separately. I'm of the belief that value-added financial services should be secondary to core capabilities of logistics players. But this is one person's view

To reply to your other thread about experience that is highly valued by consulting firms, this is a classical case that may tell you what strategy firms are looking for. It involves a electonrics giant with manufacturing plants all over Asia. It has distribution networks across the world

Would you recommend it to build centralized logistics centers (1 per continent), distribution centers by countries, or other means of distributing its products using third-parties? What methods of shipment and frequency makes sense? What level of inventory should it maintain? If you can provide a practical solution they'll probably give you a chance

NSR同志,能不能请你尽可能用中文来回复中文的问题。一般来说,中对中、英对英,有些中文问题实在用中文回答不清,用点英文无妨。但你每次出现,不管前面是中是英,一律英文回应,有点过于做作了吧?

我知道NSR同志的意思,他最后提的几个问题给我的思索是,让我弄清想进入这类咨询行业的基本问题是什么.

故意用英文可能是让我知道进入这个行业语言的重要性.

NSR同志基本已经给我解释了这个方面的问题了,另外,您提的几个问题,其实在我们物流行业,我之前的部门就是"solution"啦 !

另外一个问题,我该到什么地方去找这类的咨询公司呢?

不知道LZ现在怎么样了,进咨询干了没?

还有NSR朋友的帖子,能看出来资历很深呐,也许人家当时的电脑只能打英文也说不定 — —;
