in fact, majority of them are from the yale econ department. in order to get 150k starting salary and also because of personal interest, most of them do a concentration in finance.

Yale has a lot of bright Chinese scholars. 4 out of 5 of the Fudan Shichengshebian Team (The Chinese College Debate Team) are studying at Yale right now.

As far as I know, Jiang Changjian graduated from Yale years ago with a PHD and he is currently teaching in Fudan.

When Fudan people go to Yale and do well, professors tend to recruit more students from there, so they generally form a huge gang there : )

Yale is a place of political influence. I heard the grandchildrens of Hu Jintao and Liu Huaqing are all doig undergraduate studies there.
