Anyone got PhD in finance offer?

既然牛gg拿到duke 的offer了，不如跟大家介绍一下背景，另外提供一点自己申请的经验吧？？

Count me, another rejected candidate by Cornell.


So many people applied for Cornell, just In CD, I have seen at least five rejection including me by Cornell.


But there is more, got rejected by Chicago PhD finance, two rejections at same time, poor me...

Ding from Chicago finance as well. So pissed off because one    of the professors writing me recommendation letters is a top-notch finance professor graduated from Chicago.



What's funny is that I know a guy who's been rejected by Emory and Duke's finance but has been accepted by Chicago finance. Just the opposite as me?!

经验背景等等以后再说，就算说了对大家也没有什么帮助。现在还是静静的等offer，到月底我可能会写一个比较详细的analysis为以后的xdjm们提供一点经验

刚刚和duke finance招生的教授聊了聊，他说今年给出七个offer，准备招三个人。就是钱给得太少了，加上research一年刚过两万刀，还不如emory慷慨。student-faculty interaction好像挺不错，十个学生十七个教授，不像wharton一样五十个学生十多个教授那么恐怖。第一二年都要交term paper和考qualifying，但是经五年来好像只有一个学生因个人原因退学，还没有人被踢出去的惨事。
