是不是因为倒装，所以可以省略and呢？

so + adj + 主语 + 谓语， so + adj + 主语 + 谓语，that + ...

(第二分句的were因为重复而省略）

有點像倒裝的獨立主格(省了was)....可是沒見過倒裝的獨立主格, 有人說是固定用法...

在网上搜到了new york times上的原句。

So dogged were her investigations of the garment industry, and so persistent her lobbying for wage and hour reform, that she was first recruited by Gov.

这么理解的话，这句应该是so..., and so..., that....的结构，

不过还是不确定为什么第二句的 and so 后面的系动词可以省略掉，有明白的nn可以解释清楚吗？thx.

後來想想, 原句(6th floor)是錯的, 這也是為什麼GMAC要出這一題.
如果句子變成:
So dogged were her investigations of the garment industry and so persistent was her lobbying for wage and hour reform that she was first recruited by Gov.
還可以對.
有and做連詞, 不能把一個clause和一個很像獨立主格的東東並列連起
所以句子要改成:
So dogged were her investigations of the garment industry, so persistent her lobbying for wage and hour reform, that she was first recruited by Gov.
當兩個clause用and並列, 而謂語含一樣的助動詞(單複不一致也成)+main verb, 可以把and換成comma和助動詞+main verb省.
我相信系詞也是一樣的rule.
這個rule來自Handbook of Good English:
When an auxiliary verb is involved and changes form because of a change in person, the whole compound verb can be omitted as long as the form of the actual verb is the same, as in I am going to jail, you to your just reward, in which the omitted auxiliary verb is are, but the omitted actual verb is going, the same form as in the first clause.
