The amount of time it takes for most of a worker's occupational knowledge and skills to become obsolete has been declining because of the introduction of advanced manufacturing technology(ATM). Given the rate at which ATM is currently being introduced in manufacturing, the average worker's old skills become obsolete and new skills are required within as little as five years.

意思我不知道我有没有理清：说的是ATM 可以减少 由于时间的关系使得知识和技能变得退化 这种现象。结论是：通过ATM被应用在工业中的比率来看，工人的技能退化核心技术被采用需要至少5年的时间。

这个题我没有弄明白逻辑关系是怎样，不是说可行然后那种使有效的方法吗，感觉都没差。。。大家帮忙，我感觉走死胡同里了，想不明白，谢谢：）

题目的原意是，由于ATM的引进，使得一项技术变得过时的时间缩短了。（打个比方就是说原来张三掌握一项技能以后，可以靠它吃30年的饭，因为30年内技术都不会过时；但ATM引进后，张三的这项技能可能10年就过时了。）

问的是，哪种方法可以最有效地使公司应对这种快速的技术更新？

那自然就是及时给员工提供培训，让他们掌握新技术，适应新形式。E。
