在征求了China Business Club负责同学的同意后，我将俱乐部下周一的活动发布在CD上。中欧有非常多的学生活动，MBA08入学后PE/VC方面已经有软银中国创业投资有限公司合伙人和legend captial的managing director(已更正，多谢版主提醒)来学校做过专场讲座，后续我们也将继续把其他活动发布到论坛，欢迎有兴趣的朋友前来参加。

Do you wish to work for a VC/PE firm or know more about the current situation in the VC/PE industry ? Who else other than a person who has started her own VC/PE firm, provide a better insight ?

China Business Club is very happy to invite you all for a talk by the successful Venture Capitalist Ms. Donglei Zhou. She is the co-founder of the TBP capital (挚信资本), a successful PE firm . A graduate from Columbia University, Donglei started her career in Morgan Stanley as an Investment Banker. Later she moved on to be the Investment manager of Soft Bank Asia. Subsequently she joined Shanda Entertainment(盛大网络) as their Development & Investor Relationship Director before starting her own firm -TBP capital.

现在经济不景气，pe/vc也不像以前光忙着赚钱了

上周还有联创投资的大老板（HBS MBA）、一位金融学教授过来讲座，估计一是放松，一也是看看有没有和emba合作的机会

Second workshop from the Photography Club

Dear All:

 

         We would like to invite you join the second workshop from Photography Club. This workshop is planned on Nov. 24th ( Next Monday) 7:00 PM in AC1 110

         The workshop will go through below points:

1)       Share the photograph from Xitang Trip and share the idea from them

2)       Compare some photo from expert on the same location and same landscape

3)       Experience share from the Expert for the improvement

4)       Information open about the coming photography contest.

Here comes the second part of our CEIBS Supply Chain Management Forum 08~  

Next Wednesday, Supply Chain & Operation Management Club will organize a trip to Yangshan Deep Water Port(洋山深水港), the largest inter-modal port in the world. Some photos and facts for the port are attached.

Please refer to the schedule below and Register ASAP. Seats are limited. First come, First Serve!

For those 07/exchange students, who have registered another trip in December with Prof Norma. That plan is still in place.

Please inform Paolo first if you want to join this club trip instead.

For those of you unfamiliar with the port, here are some quick facts:

- It is the largest inter-modal port in the world, moving over 550 million tons of cargo

- The port is constructed 27 km from the coast line on a group of islands (this prevents silting)

- The average depth is 15m deep allowing ships moving 18,000 containers access to this port (the average port serves ships with 5000-6000 containers)

- In order to get to the port, the longest bridge in the world (at the time) was built in under 3 years at 30 km long

- The now longest bridge in the world (32 km long) was constructed to facilitate truck transport to/from the logistics park closest to the port and Shanghai

《拨人忽视个真相》 ：  An Inconvenient Truth 该是一只科学电影。 Al Gore 勒搿只影片里向使用对话个行式讲解搭说明全球暖化（Global warming）概念。

An Inconvenient Truth is an American documentary film about global warming, presented by former United States Vice President Al Gore.

As Vice President during the Clinton Administration, Gore pushed for the implementation of a carbon tax to modify incentives to reduce fossil fuel consumption causing fossil fuel to last longer and thereby decrease emission of greenhouse gases in the short term but not long term; it was partially implemented in 1993.  For his wide-reaching efforts to draw the world’s attention to the dangers of global warming including An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore, along with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), has won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.

The film's thesis is that global warming is real, potentially catastrophic, and human-caused, agreeing with common thought climate change.
