坏消息...CITI 取消免co-signer的贷款了...

Dear incoming student,

Due to market conditions, Citibank informed us that they will no
longer be sponsoring a private loan program for international students
without a U.S. cosigner.  Those with a U.S. cosigner are still
eligible to apply for consideration.


This is affecting all programs around the country not just Columbia
Business School.  If you are still in need of a loan program like this
for Spring/Summer 2009, you must contact our office immediately
(before close of business today).   This loan program will not be
available for 2009-2010.


Please complete the attached document and provide the necessary INS
documentation to us ASAP so that we can process the application with
Citibank.  After you complete the form, we suggest that you scan and
email it to us but you can certainly fax it as well.


We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but we need your
immediate attention to this matter to be able to assist you
appropriately.

什么条件算U.S. cosigner？有绿卡还得是公民？

学校担保的那种贷款是不是可以理解为学校作为co-signer?
另外就算没有LZ说的这种贷款，是不是找到Co-Singer也一样可以贷款，只是利息高一点？

希望有了解的CDer奉献一下。

没有这种贷款了。取消的就是这种贷款。

如果找到cosigner是可以贷款的。各个学校利率不同。这个非常时期估计大家的利率都低不了。

希望有了解的CDer奉献一下。
