1.D中用have already begun ，但是题干用reinfection will，是基于某种假设条件

2.提干中用in cases 。。。 than in cases 。。。，这个本来就给了一个假设，为什么还要现实情况呢？

解释有点牵强，还是期待高人解答吧

Answer E strengthens the argument by confirming an assumption that: for new drug, most patients will take it for 3days, which are necessary for them to recover.

(Just think, if patients would stop taking the new drug as they did for the traditional drugs, reinfection may be common too)
