Job Description:

 

Buy-side Fund looking to hire Equity Research Analyst to focus on equities of companies registered in China.  Role will be based in Hong Kong.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

• Creating detailed financial models and performing financial analysis

• Maintaining industry databases and writing in-depth industry and company reports

• Keeping abreast of developments and industry trends within the China market

• Preparing marketing materials and strategy

• Creating innovative research products

 

Ideal Candidate Specification

 

The ideal candidate should possess a relevant university degree, and have at least two years experience in Equity Research in a local securities house or from the buy-side.  The incumbent should be self-motivated, and be willing to travel.  Fluent Mandarin and English will be expected from the candidate, as well as strong financial modelling skills.  MBA or CFA qualifications will be highly regarded.    This is a role that requires the candidate’s verbal and written output to be monetised and as such the candidate must be able to formulate and present a clear and coherent investment case.  The ideal candidate must also be self-motivated and pro-active and possess the ability to work well with others.
