Sure that is a VERY important factor. My idea You don't have to be so hot but you have to be COOL(somewhat funny aggressive and could make them yell "WOW")

我交了些老外朋友,感觉他们只是言语中比较open,其实他们也追求安稳的家庭生活,尤其是结婚以后,有小孩之后,周末他们会以家庭活动为主,比如带着小孩去海滩游玩,去野外骑自行车...actually, one family is a good team.

It depends, everyone is unique. I myself did not ask (not so hot ;)) and took the risk. Anyway I was young at that time. lol

It depends how close you are with them and how old are they. You know, many local Americans are playboys and playgirls when they were young. And when they grow up, they begin to run wild and maybe even disgusting, but in the same process many of them come to understand responsibility and to hate the irregular life and get boring everyday ;) And when they are older and get married, they become somewhat conservative and develope loyaly to family and community... Then you may happen to know them at this time and feel they are very nice and family oriented.

funny aggressive? please let me know how to do so.... i can be either, but never both....

it feels very technically demanding. sometimes, when i try to be aggressive, the other one feel funny about it....and then i try to be more aggressive, the other one feel more funny.... then i finally climb the wall....

i guess it could be very powerful if we can combine funny and aggressive in one expression, as long as not scare people by a twisted face....

as far as i know, among the American youngsters, the liberal type and conservative type are simply half to half...

dhdlorent I think it is all about fit. You just haven't found the right one yet. hehee... maybe someone will think you are funny and aggressive at the same time. Personally I hate aggressive (towards me) guys.

well, let's talk about HATE. in fact, there are two kinds of hatred. one is the pure hate to which you mean it when you say "i hate ***". BUT, another one is rather contraversail in that the more violently you yell "i hate ***", the more profoundly you love ***......
