Plz excuse me typing everything in English right now! Because I’m using the school computer in the U.S. to add this, so I could only type in English! Hello everyone! I’m an exchange student from Shanghai. Now I’m studying in a public High School in Montana, U.S.A. In my exchange year, I am enrolled as a Junior in the High school but not Senior, and in the earlier this year, I tried to talk to the Counselor in the school in order to transit to be a Senior, but I failed my request and they told me even I could be a Senior, I still couldn’t graduate, that’s the school policy which just got changed during last Summer. Now, it’s almost the end of the exchange year. I’m trying to apply to another school as a FOREIGN STUDENT to finish my study in an American High school. But there’re some barrels that make me wonder! First, is that I could not be enrolled in a PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL for another year after this exchange year any more? Even I could join the Exchange program for another year or just be enrolled as the Foreign student instead of Exchange student!? Second, if I try to apply a Private High School in the same state and also I could find a “home” or “family” that they would like to host me and raise me for a year. May I be qualified to be a student to go to a non-homeschooled private high school!? Third, actually my hostfamily told me that if there’s anyway that could work out as letting my parents sign a legal paper and give the permission to the hostfamily that let them be my legal guardians for the next year. So I could be an American family’s member for a year, and then may be I could go to a public high school instead of a private high school. Will this work out!? Is there any way? Forth, I will turn 18 in this summer actually in June. Will this help me to get any kind of student Green Card because I will be considered a legal ADULT in the U.S. after I turn 18? Fifth, I know there’s quite a bit exchange students chose this way (exchange student for one year then come back to America for another year), will this be hard to get the visa??? Cause without the visa nothing will work out!!!!! =( This is one the most emergency call!!!!! Because I only have about another month to stay in America then I have to come back to China and call it an Exchange year! But I really wanna make everything work before I leave here then after this summer I could still go to an American High school to finish my study. So please help me answer some of the questions above. Help me to work this thing out!!!! Thank you sincerely!!!!!!! |
