其实，b是无关选项，酒店的容量与质量无关吧！

d是正确答案，其实的他的意思是：房子的质量越好越能长时间使用，而意思是作者看到了老的hotel是老hotel中质量好的，质量不好的老房子，作者是看不到的，因为都关门了，所以，这对作者的观点构成了驳斥

同意楼上的观点，补充一下，其实ABCE都是无关选项。原文讨论的是两个1930年前后hotel quality的对比。A说的是hotel quality和其他建筑去quality的比较。B说的是hotel容量。C说的是material。E说的是apprenticeship。只有D是在比较1930年前后的hotel quality。

是不是这样的题目可以用排除法来做啊.确实其他选项都是无关选项.要是我也会选D. 考试短时间内不一定能想明白为什么D对,但是很清楚其他选项不对.

这样是否也是一种方法呢? 或者说此题并非让你选出正确的,而是排除错误呢?

还是不太懂．

如果是排除无关选项，确实Ｄ胜出．

但是，Ｄ是说做工越好的楼，那么就越不可能被弃用或废弃掉．

而这个我觉得恰恰是在支持Guidebook writer的观点，而不是反驳．

如果Ｄ的less likely改成more likely，那毫不犹豫就是正确答案了．

请教．
