Job Title: TA Model Office Tester  – Senior Associate

Department: Transfer Agency

Key responsibilities of a TA Model Office Tester include the following:

 

Profile:

The function requires the individual to display the following characteristics

 

·        Very strong Mathematical / Problem solving skills

·        Experience working in a similar environment / role

·        Comprehensive knowledge of Hedge Funds and Hedge Fund accounting calculations.

·        Ability to run complex database queries on a daily basis to identify numerical defects

·        Strong communication skills both oral and written

·        Professional approach to work

·        Strong organisational skills with a concern for quality & accuracy

·        Eagerness to learn and ability to adapt

·        Team player

·        Professional qualification in Finance / Mathematical area an advantage

·        Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office Applications.

Requirements:

·        Complete assigned tasks accurately and within appropriate timeframes.

·        Identify and action priority items within appropriate timeframes.

·        Ability to organise daily tasks effectively and efficiently.

·        Knowledge of / eagerness to learn complex financial instruments and fund structures.

我是computer science背景，现在是financial software test analyst, 3 years working experience.

昨天有个agent给我打电话，说这个role可以试试。今天jpmorgan发了个e-mail 让我complete the password change procedure.

问几个简单的问题，大家不要笑我，TA Model Office Tester ， TA是个什么东西。 senior associate 是个什么等级in IB,有没有机会进入Investment operation role,我今年9月份就要念一个part time master of management science, 我如果提我要念兼职硕士，对我的面试有没有帮助。本来想念quantitative mathematics,但是没有part time,只要念mms了。

job spec 提到了以下的知识，我对对冲基金就是白痴，还有那个Equalisation methods,我也不是很了解，请各位牛牛们介绍一些材料，谢谢了

技术分析？ TA=Technical Analysis? 技术分析模型测试员？ 是有这样的工作岗位的，就是开发程式交易模式后，用市场历史数据和计算机模拟相结合来对该交易程式的收益率进行测算什么的。具体工作根据各公司情况会有不同。

70K少了，我支持你多捞一笔的想法。JM在中国捞了不少了，不在乎对你的这点“获利回吐”

JPM应该会支持你继续深造的想法

nope.  This is stricly a backoffice role.

not sure about the pay scale in Europe, but as a general rule, NEVER give out your compensation expectation first, always let them make an offer first then go from there.

Unless they really want to low ball you, which is pretty rare for big banks, you should be OK.

PS, this looks very entry level, not sure why it comes with a senior associate title...you might want to ask the agent, just to clarify.

I guess this is most likely a operations role in JM HF. 60k is a little low, coz you may consider your bonus very limited
