I've spent nearly 30 minutes to finish reading all the posting here. It's interesting, and it's the first posting that makes me stop diving . I have to say something although I might be targeted for what I am going to say :p (One thing that I have to mention first is I am NOT a MBA student, and I am NOT ready for applying any of the MBA program. I am not a successful person, YET. I became aware of this website from a friend, and getting into interested in people's mindset here. My undergraduate major was not psychology…LOL) It's weird to see so many people here are pretty much focusing on the future placement, world ranking, and some other superficial issues about a B school. There is nothing wrong. However, when choosing a B school for MBA program, I did not see anyone here asked questions like: Are you ready for MBA? What do you want to achieve by finishing a MBA program? (Of course, it's quite common in China that a piece of paper such as MBA certificate is a key to success.) Personally, I perceive MBA as one of the tools for personal growth, and undergraduate study as foundations. Of course, the networking, ranking, staff, and facilities, etc. are important elements of a B school to lead you to success, BUT ONESELF is the KEY to success. Another perception that I have on my mind is that every B-school is a Product. A product has its own niche market/target market, or it's the niche market that decides the nature of this product. Choosing the right product for yourself is the first thing that should come up to your mind before taking any action, right? I suddenly recalled a Chinese saying: 物以类聚,人以群分. Tehee…I found it's quite applicable to the programs that are available in the market now. Anyway, the market needs PRODUCTS Guys and Girls, feel free to comment on my points, just personal opinions |
