successes could be claimed by fem-

the way of legislative victories.

      During this decade, however, there

       was intense activism aimed at achiev-

ing increased autonomy for women,

they lived their daily lives.  Women’s

organizations worked to establish

opportunities for women: they strove to

      secure for women the full entitlements

Answer: D。我就想请教为什么C不对。第一段说new反对old，old认为女权运动失败，那么new就认为不那么失败喽；第二段，转折however，new又承认这个时代是退步了，说了一些不成功的地方。所有我觉得C挺好的。除非因为deplore这个词？看了以前的帖子，主要讨论36，很少讨论这道题的。所以拿出来再请教。谢谢了。
