Pat’s response to Mel is inadequate in that it

A.     attempts to assess how a certain change will affect potential members

of a group by providing evidence about its effect on the current members.

B.     mistakenly takes the cause of a certain change to be an effect of that change

C.     attempts to argue that a certain change will have a positive effect merely

by pointing to the absence of negative effects

D.     simply denies Mel’s claim without putting forward any evidence in support

of that denial

E.      assumes that changes that benefit the most able members of a group

necessarily benefit all members of that group.

这道题目我也在A, E之间徘徊了很长时间, 仔细分析一下可以知道A应该是正确答案. E选项正确分析了Pat的推理assumption, 但并没有指出为什么这个推理inadquate.而A是说Pat想用目前的情况而推将来的情形, 但是谁也不敢保证将来是否有更多的judges teach and give lectures. 所以说是inadequate.

GWD17-Q23, 我觉得你们已经讨论的很多了, 实际上MM把握住一点, 如果是要上新项目, 新设备, 最关键的就是要考虑是不是划得来, 倘若新的项目上了又没有充分利用, 是浪费资源和金钱. 知道了这一点, 这道题目就好理解了.

今天周末了, 我只能能学多少算多少了. 加油!!

宝儿，我的逻辑也不是很好，但是我的问题是自己总去偷偷的给一个假设，让题目成立，这就是ETS要考察的东西，看了大家的讨论，才知道原来大家的思维方式是这样的不同，不管是根据自己的常识也好，自己家的国情也好，但是ETS答案只有一个，考Gmat的过程就是一个纠正大家对问题的判断的不正确的不科学的方法，然后用gmat的科学的思维方式去思考问题，等到你的思维方式不再主观，而是客观的分析任何问题的时候，那么这个时候Gmat就可以考过了。昨天晚上刚被教育做逻辑题要让自己傻一点儿。

在clinic, visual inspection 不能可靠地辨别某东西from skin cancers， 所以要采用tests of skin tissue taken from patients. 在hospital, a new imaging machine that diagnoses skin cancer in such
cases as reliably as the tissue tests do, 故clinic must be consider that in certain cases, the visual inspection is sufficient to make a diagnosis of skin cancer, otherwise, clinic NEED to to perform tests of skin tissue taken from patients.

Answer C, whether the new machine will be "significantly less heavy use than the machine at the hospital does" is non-relate with what the clinic's  NEEDS ( the needs is to be able to diagnosis certin skin cancer) therefor, D is the best answer.

恩，支持MM，还是支持D，把我想说的说出来了，主要我没有仔细分析这一句话，意思就是说医院的医生有水平使用这些仪器，而诊所的医生没有水平使用，如果visual inspection在诊所能足够诊断出病的话，那么无论降低多少，都是降低cost(咱们根本就不要求上800啊，上个700就够了)-_-||

更新：终于想通了，一个地方导致理解偏差：cost到底是原来的还是现在新机器也有

洋洋MM，我觉得那关于律师的题虽然是说ban对将来情况的影响，但是我做的时候是抓住这个结论的“The official salary for judges has always been too low to attract the best Candidates to the job”，我觉得将来会不会有很多（普通）律师（因为考虑到不能教书）不去应聘不是一个negative effect,而真正的negative effect是在于优秀的律师现在，和将来（无论普通律师想教书的多不多）都受到了影响或者会受到影响，因为他们是靠教书赚钱的

我觉得思维稍微展开一点没关系，只要不脱离GMAC的逻辑线路，不以常识来判断就好，但是有时候要试情况稍微来点常识，要不然哪里来的“他因”

咖啡因这道题，所以我觉得原则就是抓住逻辑题里逻辑思路：到底想要你去削弱什么，必须有什么assumption这个线才能成立。其实老外也不是那么傻，我们知道的常识他们也知道的~只不过遇到常识时要很小心很小心

考Gmat的过程就是一个纠正大家对问题的判断的不正确的不科学的方法，然后用gmat的科学的思维方式去思考问题，等到你的思维方式不再主观，而是客观的分析任何问题的时候，那么这个时候Gmat就可以考过了。

我觉得我思维是挺接近ETS了，可是有时候在看问题的时候由于把题目理解错误，导致在起点方向就错了。。
真不知道这种根本性的错误怎么纠正。痛苦！

数学几何理论要马上看完，看完大批量开始做题。

每天每样都要看一点，然后开始做PREP。GWD有时间就做，没时间就不做了。

作文模板也要开始看了。
