i'll answer your questions:
1) i'm not with an NGO.  i'm with the non-profit entity of an institution.  the angle is that by being on the ground in China, i'm responsible for the China connector for this institution.  the entity that i belong with is non-profit, hence i'm not supposed to make profit using this entity's name.
2) i'm hoping to meet all sorts of entrepreneurs, just as long as they are good entrepreneurs
3) why would i want to know them?  this is because i'm working on behalf of this institution, and helping to build up their network with these entrepreneurs.
4) as to how i'm helping them, it is because through being connected with these people, i hope to be able to provide other introductions/connections to help these entrepreneurs progress with their companies.  at the same time, i can leverage on the institution's own network to deliver value for these people.  and no, i'm not charging any fees of any sort, since i'm with a non-profit entity.

am i trying to switch to vc?  no clue right now, ask me in about half a year's time and i may be able to tell you better.  i do however know quite a few vc since by providing value to the entrepreneurs, i also have to deal with vcs.  in fact, i'm now co-writing an article with my boss about an aspect of the local vc market that will be publised in an overseas magazine for the US market.

tupo, thanks for the continuous interest in INSEAD, esp the consulting area. We dont have enough data to tell you how many Chiense students got into consulting at this moment because:

1) We have online alumni directory, but some of them are not active because the alumni did not update them regularly. If we turn to career report for help, it would be difficult for us to get the info too because they dont pool out Chinese people specifically.

2) INSEAD students tend to change their job after graduating from INSEAD. Some of the students might land a job in industry first but then they switched to MC. I think you've heard about Steve Job's famous quote: Keep looking, dont settle. That does happen to INSEAD people because they keep searching what they really have a passion to do.

What i can tell you now is that we do have many alumni resources to leverage in MC area here.

One more question: Usually, how many percentage of applicants does INSEAD invite to interview and how many percentage of interviewees does INSEAD extend offers?

In the past, in general, they invite 50% of total applicants for interviews, and extend offers to 50% of the interviewees.

One question for nnm first: is there any difference for your life in Singapore from Inseadsh's?

And another question for both of you: Sounds like Insead prefers long working experienced candidates, is that true that people around are all with at least 5-year working experience?

i have no idea on the statistics regarding the extension of interview invitation and offers.
all i'm aware is that insead has implemented a new restriction a nationality cannot occupy more than 12% of one intake.

the median number of years of working experience is 5.
