Current INSEAD students taking questions

Inseadsh, really appreciate your effort to answer question here.

I'm planning apply for insead this year. However, just received my TOEFL score, which is 104, while the official requirement from insead is 105. But my GMAT is 760. Donno whether I have any chance.

I tried to contact adcom through email, but there's no reply. Do you know who else I can contact?BTW, I sent  the enquiry letter to following address.

Thanks very much for the help. Actually, I made up my mind quite late in this Aug to start G and T.  

I saw your message that 3rd round offer relatively few places and I haven't started yet the essay and other materials. So I prefer to spend more time on preparing the material from now on to catch up 2nd round.

Do you think my strategy is right according to your experience? Or shall I apply for the class started from Jan 2009?

I have the similar question to emfangf,but I have not any WE up to now,so which subject would you recommend me? I just want to involve insurance or investment fields,now I major in finance at a economics & finance university,additionaly,is it just ok for me to take toefl and gmat tests?

emfangf and 欲飞...  I think essays are more important in the application process.  (rather than which round you are applying for.   4th round is hard, avoid it.   Slots assigning to the previous three rounds are almost equivalent, based on the data of my batch, though I don't know how many people actually apply for the school in each round).

So, why not give yourself some pressure?       Try to make everything done before deadline of 2nd round -- make sure that (1) your essays did exemply your characters and show your potential and aspiration, and make a judgement call in terms of (2) whether there are still rooms for improvements if given yourself few more days.     If answer to (1) is not yet, and answer to (2) is positive, then apply in 3rd round.        Or else, 2nd round or 3rd round are quite indifferent, from my perspective.

BTW, if time allows, try to retake the Toefl.    When I applied the school, one of my best friends suggested me to retake my GMAT -- he said that its the kind of things that could be controled by myself, and doing it will enable me to put myself not in a disadvantage position. (I can't change my transcripts / major / years of WE though.)     But remember, T & G  are also not the kind of things you should put high priority on.   If only time allows, and you still have time/energy beyond a sufficient preparations on your essays, retake the Toefl.

欲飞, try to put at least 2 years under your belt before considering the INSEAD MBA.

i cannot remember how long TOEFL and GMAT is valid for.  Since it will be 2 years before you apply/go for an MBA, try taking TOEFL one year and GMAT the other.  more time to prepare for it.
