Regarding "on the contrary", my tutor just corrected my mistake that "on the contrary" is usually used to add to a negative statement, or disagree with a negative statement by someone else, or to tell the true situation of the negative statement. So I am not sure if it is appropriate here and I will check it with my tutor again.
