If I want to know world news, I prefer watching TV to reading newspaper because TV news is more vivid, objective and instantaneous.

The threshold reason why I would like to gain information from television lies in its vivid demonstration of news. Television news is a marriage of videos and audios. When we watch TV news, we seem to be on the scene where the news happened or is happening so that we can have an easy and enjoyable understanding of the news. By contrast, newspaper is mostly composed of words with some pictures, which, not as telling as television news, often fails to recreate the events in readers' brains. So to speak, what one minute of video conveys on TV exceeds what a thousand words do in the newspaper.

Another reason why I prefer TV news is its more objectiveness than newspaper news’. As a motto goes, "any language is a conspiracy against experiences". The truth of events is most likely to be affected by newspaper reporter's personal perspective to some extent. Examples of this sort are abundant. Although TV news sometimes is also false, the videos and audios are self-explanatory-they often reveal more truth to audiences than words in the newspaper do.

Furthermore, compared with TV news, newspaper news is less instantaneous. In modern world where the tempo is quickening everyday, the most up-to-minute news is most attractive. TV can broadcast news much more quickly than newspapers, even live news. For instance, I can quickly know what happened in the Hong Kong stock market from the scrolling information bar at the bottom of the TV screen. If I rely on newspapers, I will have to wait for at least a day, when the news is already useless to me.

All in all, television has become an indispensable part of my life in providing news all over the world. Its news is more vivid, objective and instant than that from newspaper. If you want to have a better understanding of what's happening in the world, television would be your best choice of information source.

audience是可数名词，但是是一个集合概念，因此通常用单数形式。
